I am a wading bird who lives near salty and brackish water. I stand about two feet tall, and have a wingspan of up to 3 ½ feet. My yellow feet set me apart from other egrets. I am also known for my beautiful white feathers. During the mating season, I grow long white plumes on the back of my head and my chest. I raise these feathers in the air to show them off and to attract a mate.
